Third Trimester Swelling: Is it serious?

Ok. I just got married a few days ago and had no trouble with my ring being too tight. But this morning when I woke up, it was as if my hands had swollen to the point where my ring had become part of my finger. My face is puffy and my arms and legs are as well. My skin feels tight and uncomfortable. My blood pressure has be alright through out my pregnancy. (I’m 36 weeks) I was just wondering if this could be edema. What should I do? And, are there ways in which I could help to avoid swelling in the future?

Third trimester medical problems?

I am in my first pregnancy and afraid to sound stupid asking my doctor questions that seem like normal problems but I don’t know. I didn’t have morning sickness at all and now I’m going into my 30th week and am starting to vomit and at the same time have diarrhea but it’s not very often until the past few days. Now I am starting to have really bad stomach pains having to take short breaths because of the pain and throwing up and diarrhea. Is this normal??? Someone told me it was my ligaments stretching but that doesn’t sound right.

third trimester question please help and look moms.

Hi i’m 31weeks and i justwannaa know stuff i need to look out for from now on. This is my first pregnancy so what kind of pains to look for and etc. Time keeps getting closer andI’mm getting more and more nervous and worried. Just give me lots of info moms =]. thank you.
He is alredy head down they checked yesterday.
i never really felt the round lingament pains only in the 1st trimester only when i was sleeping and i would move.
I Have been feeling like a wierd tingeling pain by my bum like preasure feeling i guess i dont know how to explain it.

Third Trimester Bleeding?

I’m 33 weeks along in my pregnancy, and for the past 24 hours, I’ve had constant back pain accompanied by Braxton Hicks contractions. I headed to Maternity yesterday around 3pm, and they released me at 4pm only to say that I was closed still and “maybe” I had a UTI (they didn’t run a test). Five hours later, I went to the restroom and found blood coming from my vaginal area, and now at 12 hours later I am still bleeding.

I don’t know how other hospitals do it, but mine told me that I shouldn’t come back unless I’m bleeding heavier than my heaviest period or passing golf ball sized blood clots. I didn’t even do that after my c-section with my first.

Should I trust what they’re saying? They’re not the most reputable hospital, and are only here because they’re monopolized everything else. I’m worried for my baby’s safety, but they’re getting rude because I call second guessing what they said.

Third trimester, and maternity clothes don’t fit

Okay, seeing how this is my 4th pregnancy, I had some clothes, before becoming pregnant, again, and also purchased some more shirts, shorts, jeans, and capris… Started out with a size small, then had to move up to a medium… My shirts still fit, but most of my shorts/capris are TIGHT, now! (Even the mediums!) These are the kind that fit under the belly, but they are really pinching… I’m all belly, by the way; they fit my legs/hips, just fine! I don’t want to have to buy more clothes, this late in the game, cause I’m due mid-October, but I also don’t want to slump around (or suffer through it), cause I do have to go out in public, sometimes. Any ideas?
Also, I’d just cut them, so they’d still fit, but I want to be able to give them away, after, since this is our last baby.

Third trimester and feeling pressure on cervix- Need Help?

Has anyone else experienced this or currently experiencing??:

36 weeks and 2 days- At five a.m. this morning, I felt a “period like” cramp that ached around the top of my cervix. Is this dilation? All day today, it was really difficult to walk because of the constant downward pressure and aching. What is this? Is it normal? Do I REALLY have to put up with this pain for another month?? It just seems like a bit much, considering I’ve never heard other women talk about this before (fyi: first pregnancy) Thanks so much, all input is appreciated!!!

Third Trimester Pain!?

I am 33 weeks pregnant with my first child. I started having upper abdominal pain about 5 days ago. At first I was convinced that it was trapped gas or some other intestinal problem so I held off calling the Dr, but after 4 days I decided to call the Dr. and they sent me to the hospital. They checked me out and told me I was just pregnant and that they didn’t like the word “hurt” and that I should say I am “uncomfortable”… but I’m not uncomfortable I’m in pain! The nurse was very rude and asked me if my “baby’s daddy” was even in the picture because my husband is military and wasn’t able to be at the hospital with me. They also refused to believe me when I said I didn’t have any STDs (which I don’t) They wanted to send me home without doing anything and looked upset when the Dr gave them orders to run tests! I have another Dr.s apt tomorrow. Hopefully she will be able to figure out what is causing the pain.
I am really upset about the way the hospital treated me (this is the hospital I am scheduled to give birth in). There is another hospital that I think I might be more comfortable in but my Dr doesn’t have privilages there. I don’t know if I should switch Dr.s this late into the pregnancy or if it’s better to be away from this hopital and their other staff? HELP!

Entering Third Trimester with Partial Previa..?

I’m 27 weeks along with my pregnancy and already experiencing complications including MTHFR, bleeding problems and awful morning sickness (I was losing weight rather than gaining it with how bad my morning sickness was). At week 25, I was diagnosed with partial placenta previa. My doctor has already advised me to abstain from intercourse and other strenuous activities; I’m a little worried I may be put on bedrest, and even worse – having a repeat Cesarean (I had one in 2006 when I had my daughter due to her being in breech). I had my heart set on VBAC, but it’s looking more and more like that may not happen… What is the likelihood of the placenta growing away from my cervix this late in the pregnancy? Do you think my doctor will put me on bedrest? Will I be able to attempt VBAC? I’ve read horror story after horror story online and in books. I’m really nervous for my and my son’s health…

third trimester question…?

At what week in pregnancy does the DR or midwife start internal examinations to check for dilation?? I’m currently 30wks and have about 4 more appointments with my midwife, next appointment is 34wks.

I just want to be prepared! I had a sort of internal examination a couple of weeks ago at the hospital because I was bleeding. It was really uncomfortable… not looking forward to any more!!

Would it be wise to refuse them completely?? Can I even do that?
