first three months of pregnancy?

i know these months are the most crucial, but what if you didnt know you were pregnant. I mean there has to be a large number of women who find out in their second trimester. My question is, how concerned should i be that i had a few drinks, and took pain medication in my first trimester?

My stepmom didn’t know she was pregnant until 3 months and her son turned out just fine.

As long as you didn’t go crazy with the alcohol or drugs, you should be fine. Congrats on surviving the first trimester without any symptoms. A lot of ladies (myself included) are quite jealous.

My friend didn’t know until the middle of her 2nd trimester and the doctor told her that the baby will get all the nutrition it needs from you but as long as you didn’t drink too much or didn’t take too much pain medication you will be ok. Make sure to let your dr know about what you did take though in case anything were to happen.

its not that big of a deal my sister didnt know that she was pregnet and she would go out and party and stuff and she had hurt her back and they gave her pain med’s and her baby came out just fine just now that you know dont do it any more and tell your doctor as soon as you go so they can do test and things

If you had a few drinks in 3 months, I’d say you’re ok. If you had a few drinks every day, I’d talk to your doc immediately.

On the pain meds, I guess I would depend on what type, how much and how long you were on them? If it was a short duration, I would guess you are ok.

You are right that many people find out late and everyone I know in that situation was fine and had healthy babies. As long as you get medical care when you find out, you stand a great chance of a great pregnancy and birth!

I think you should. Remember that those are the most important months for the fetus. You sholud go have a check-up or maybe an ultrasound in case of an abnormality. In the name of God your baby is healthy and normal.

This happened to me. I took a prego test and it came back negative so I drank at my sisters wedding. Well five days later I still had not had my period, I took another test and guess what I was pregnant. I was freaking out. At my first ob appt I told my doctor and she said it was fine. This happens to alot of women. Just stop the drinking and pain medication now. Oh, I had my daughter Oct 9 and she is healthy as can be and meeting all her milestones. Don’t stress about this to much. There is nothing you can do now. Just take care of yourself and the little one inside of you. congrats and good luck.

I didn’t know the first month I was pregnant, until I missed a period. I always got it on time. I had gone out once before I knew I was pregnant and had a few drinks. I didn’t have to take any pain meds either. My child came out fine. If you are concerned then I would get an ultrasound to see if the baby is ok. After I found out I was pregnant, I quit drinking for the rest of the time I was pregnant.

Chances are everything should be fine and your baby should be okay. A few drinks shouldn’t harm the baby, depending on how many a few is. With my fourth one, I took pain medication after having my had my appendix removed, but before knowing I was pregnant (long story). Anyway, the baby was born healthy . Your best course of action is to be completely honest with your doctor so they can assess if there is any risk to the baby or if anything else should be done.

As long as it was just that one time then you should be good…. i just wouldn’t take any medication now…. or drink.
