What are some creative ways to tell parents about pregnancy?

I am almost entering my second trimester in the my first pregnancy, and, after our first ultrasound on the 17th, my husband and I are finally going to tell our parents we are pregnant. We are very excited about this, especially because it will be my Mom and Dad’s first grandchild. We have been brainstorming special and creative ways about how to break the good news, and have decided to give my Mom and birthday card from “baby”, but we also wanted to come up with a special way to tell his parents (ours will be the 6th grandchild) and the rest of my family.

did you look sick in your early pregnancy?

like during your first trimester-ish did anyone tell you that you looked sick-like you looked pale and you just didn’t feel well then heading into your second trimester the paleness went away and you get the “glow”?

(I’ll Be 17wks & 2 day’s) Im hopping To schedule My UltraSound Appointment To Determine The Sex Of The Baby, But When Do You Think They Can Determine It.. Like, Do You Think Ill Have To Wait Long? People With Experience- How Long Did You Wait Before Sex Was Determined.. Im Really Anxious, As Im Sure Anyone Would Be.
2.) Ive Been Having Semi-Painful Cramping, Is This Just My Uterus Stretching?
3.) How Much Weight Should A Pregnant Women Gain In The Second Trimester, And In The Whole Pregnancy? (if you start out at a normal weight)
4.) Is It True That You Gain More Weight Carrying A Girl
5.) I Am Very Tall, Could This Effect The Time I Begin To Show, Does It Mean I Wont Show As Much Because I Have Alot More Room For My Belly To Stretch?

Pregnancy Congestion?

I was just wondering if anyone has experienced moderate to severe nasal congestion during their pregnancy. Ever since I hit second trimester (I am 22 weeks), I seem to have constant nasal congestion. I feel like I have a constant head cold. Is this a common occurrence?

It is normal to throw up a lot in your third trimester in pregnancy?

I am 29 weeks prego with my second child. I had morning sickness in the first 11 weeks then it stoped. Lately I have been having pain in my lower abdomen in the same area as the C-section so I assume thats just streaching. However, I am now going through morning sickness again. I am worried though because I dont want me throwing up to hinder my baby from gaining the weight she needs. She has been doing really well so far with weight, but I want her to gain all she can as i may have to have her early as I did my son due to health problems (Preaclmapsia)—> SP? Please give me any advice you have or things you have done to deal with morning sickness/throwing up.

how long rhinitis of pregnancy lasts?

hello every one I just wanted to know how long after delivery would my stuffy noes get better? Ever since i enterd my second trimester I cannot breath thorugh my noes. Dr said it is rhinites of pregnancy due to the extra blood and mucous. I just want to know how long would it take for me to be able to breath after my baby comes???? please let me know. Thanks

Question for ladies who gained a lot of weight during pregnancy…?

For the ladies who gained a lot of weight during pregnancy did you gain it towards the end of your pregnancy or during the second trimester? I interested in people who gained more than the recommended 25-35 lbs.

Thank you. I love reading these. It makes me feel better and laugh! I have gained 26 lbs and I am only 23 weeks. I am just so hungry all the time! My doc doesn’t seem worried about it though. I was 114 lbs pre-pregnancy. I think I will gain much more than the recommended 25-35 lbs.

Pregnancy Tips for Holding down Food and Water?

Im just hitting my second trimester and have just started on morning sickness. The past couple of days have been horriable I cant seem to hold down any kind of food. I was thinking I feel really dehydrated is there any foods you guys recommend that I might be able to hold down and it might hydrate me a little too? I dont really know how to ask this question as you can tell but any kind of tips for holding food down, holding water down, that sorta thing.

how long is a pregnancy? they say 40 weeks, which is 10 months but i though it was 9 months?

everyone always say 9 months.
the first 3 months is the first trimester
3-6 months is the second trimester
6-9 months is the third trimester?

so why do people say 40 weeks?

Have you taken Diflucan in pregnancy?

The nurse practitioner prescribed this for me…I am in second trimester (almost 21 weeks). Recently had an ultrasound and it looked great. I have had spotting and they think it is related to the yeast infection.

Have you ever had spotting associated with a yeast infection? Would you take the Diflucan? I am cautious by nature and don’t want do do anything that can harm the baby. It is class C. They said it is safe since I am out of first trimester.
